Discover the new Musée Yves Saint Laurent

A luxury weekend in the fashion capital awaits…

From 244 €

In celebration of the new Musée Yves Saint Laurent opening in October, Pavillon
des Lettres is inviting guests to immerse themselves in the world of the famous French couturier.
The hotel’s new Yves Saint Laurent package includes tickets to a private guided tour of the new
museum, just a short stroll away.

Located in the legendary hôtel particulier, at 5 avenue Marceau, Musee Yves Saint Laurent is
the first museum of its scale entirely dedicated to the work of one of the most famous couturiers
of the 20th century – where he spent nearly thirty years designing his collections from 1974 to
2002.
Set across 450m², an ever-changing rotation of retrospective displays and temporary thematic
exhibitions will showcase both the creative genius of the couturier and the process of creating
an haute couture collection. Just like Yves Saint Laurent's clients of the time, guests will enter
the museum through the haute couture house’s legendary entrance, guided through sumptuous
salons whose original decor has been preserved.
Guests will be treated to get up close to Yves Saint Laurent's most emblematic designs - the
tuxedo jacket, the Saharienne, the trench coat, the jumpsuit - designs inspired by Russia, China
and India, all of which revolutionised the world of fashion at the time.
Original sketches, workshop sheets, collection boards and photographs will reveal the secrets
of how an haute couture house works. Yves Saint Laurent’s legendary studio, the inner sanctum
and true heart of 5 avenue Marceau will be accessible to guests, offering visitors a glimpse of
his creative process. The 1h15 tour will end amongst the great artists who inspired the designer
throughout his lifetime, including Van Gogh, Picasso, Matisse and Mondrian.
Pavillon des Lettres has long been a favourite address amongst the fashion crowd, located just
around the corner from Paris’ most lavish shopping streets: Avenue Montaigne, Rue Saint
Honoré and the Champs-Elysées. After a fashion-filled afternoon, guests can spend the rest of
their weekend shopping in this central Paris neighbourhood before delighting in some
champagne and cocktails back at the hotel.
